Caring for Stained Glass & Instructions

Our products can contain: glass, copper, lead, tin, steel, special glass paints, and epoxy resin.  Always use caution when handing your stained-glass art.  If glass breaks, it’s very sharp and will cut your fingers.

When displaying suncatchers, only hang from a secured nail, eye-screw or metal hook.

Never hang stained glass from a plastic suction cup!  They will fail and when it does, your beautiful piece of stained-glass will be damaged.  We carry a variety of hooks and screws for securely displaying your suncatcher in your favorite sunny spot.

Don’t leave garden stakes outside during extreme weather.

​

To clean stained glass, handwash with warm soapy water and pat dry with soft cloth.

If the solder lines get dull or chalky, lightly rub with car wax and gently buff to bring back the shine. 

​

Never use a polish! They contain abrasives and can actually scratch solder and glass.

 

Due to the various metals and chemicals used in making stained-glass, always wash your hands after handling.
